Sistema Kingston is seeking an energetic and engaging Upper Strings (violin/viola) Teaching Artist to join the team at Molly Brant Elementary School in January 2026 to finish out the year, leading up to our year end concert on May 14th at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts. The focus will be teaching group classes that include both violin and viola students at beginner and junior levels. Students are in grades 3-6, and groups will have up to 15 students. Compensation: $30-$35/hour, approximately 17 hours/week through May 31, 2026.

As the program is already in progress, and the right candidate can start as soon as possible. Compensation: $27-$30/hour, approximately 13 hours/week through May 31, 2026.

Sistema Kingston is seeking an energetic and engaging Choir Teaching Artist to join their Saint Thomas More School team in January 2026 to finish out the year, leading up to our year end concert on May 14th at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts. You will focus on singing and vocal skill development with students in grades 2-6, sometimes in small groups (7-11), and sometimes in “tutti choir” (approx. 25-30). On-site hours are Monday-Thursday, 3:00-5:30pm. The Teaching Artist will be engaged as an Independent Contractor from January 5th – May 31st, 2026. Compensation: $30-$35/hour for all services including teaching, planning, meetings.

Sistema Winnipeg is seeking Substitute Teaching Artists. You will work closely with students in small group settings, ensuring their well-being and providing a safe, inclusive space. This position is supervised by the Sistema Winnipeg Manager and works alongside Lead Teachers, other Teaching Artists, and Site Coordinators. The position is paid at a rate of $40/hour.

YONA-Sistema is seeking Substitute Teaching Artists (Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion, Choir). This position is casual and on-call. Substitute Teaching Artists provide group music instruction to up to 20 students and work collaboratively with the YONA team to support all learners. Hourly Wage: $45.00/hour
