We are a national organization composed of Sistema inspired programs across Canada. While there is much diversity in the specifics of each Member Program, we all share the same values.

Origin Story

Sistema Canada began operating as an independent registered charity on April 1, 2026. This milestone was achieved after a successful 3 year pilot of the Sistema Canada Network under the administrative partnership of the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra.

In 2020, during the initial pandemic lockdowns, Canadian Sistema inspired programs began to connect to support one another. While there were previous unsuccessful attempts at creating a national organization, the need to connect throughout the pandemic reignited the drive to create a formal national organization. The Sistema Canada Network launched in January 2022, hired it’s first staff member in October 2022, and established a full slate of projects & activities throughout the 3-year pilot project. 2025-26 served as a transition year where charitable status was obtained and operations were moved to the new independent entity.
